We recently released Conformer-1, a state-of-the-art speech recognition model trained on 650K hours of audio data that achieves near human-level performance and robustness across a variety of data. Our results demonstrate that Conformer-1 is more robust on real-world data than popular ASR models, making up to 43% fewer errors on noisy dataI, and achieving state-of-the-art results on a wide variety of academic and real-world datasets compared to other ASR models. Conformer-1 is accessible through our API today. The easiest way to try Conformer-1 is through our Playground, where you can upload a file or enter a YouTube link to see a transcription in just a few clicks!
AssemblyAI once again was named a G2 High Performer and Momentum Leader in Voice Recognition Software! This award marks the fifth time that AssemblyAI has been recognized by the leading software marketplace, with previous recognitions in Summer 2022, Spring 2022, Winter 2022, and Fall 2021. To receive G2’s High Performer recognition, companies must maintain the highest customer satisfaction scores in the given category. AssemblyAI has received an average rating of 9.9 for Ease of Use and 9.6 for Quality of Support, higher than the current industry averages of 8.3 for each in the Voice Recognition Software category.

In July 2022, we raised another $30M in our Series B round led by global software investor Insight Partners. This brings our total funds raised to just over $65M. The progress being made in the field of AI is incredibly exciting. Our goal is to expose this progress to every developer and product team on the internet – via a simple set of APIs. As we continue to research and train State-of-the-Art AI models for ASR and NLP tasks (like speech recognition, summarization, language identification, and many other tasks), we will continue to expose these AI models to developers and product teams via simple APIs – available for free. We hope to be the place that developers and product teams come to for easy access to the advanced AI models they need in order to build exciting new products, services, and entire companies.
