It was a wild ride as team Cloudforce stepped away from the screens to rev things up a bit 💨 behind the wheel. With helmets on and competitive spirits high, the #eliteforce raced around the track like we were in our very own Formula One race 🏎️. Despite a few crashes and some very white knuckles, we all came out unscathed-- and with some serious bragging rights. 🏆 After all that racing, we desperately needed refueling ⛽! So Cloudforce headed over to the local Jailbreak Brewery🍺, where we indulged in some of the finest brews and bites they had to offer. It was a feast fit for champions! 🙌 While this may sound like pure shenanigans (which it was), at Cloudforce this type of behavior was right on track for the priority we place on disconnecting from our screens to connect with each other. Our fun Fridays are integral to creating and sustaining a positive work environment that fosters #growth🌱, #teamwork🤝, excellence⭐, and #glee🍻! Reading Beyond the Lines🔎: The Benefits and Perks of Cloudforce Book Club At Cloudforce, every quarter we choose a book to share with the team for our company-wide Book Club.📚 With #growth as one of our company core values, Book Club is the perfect opportunity to create a space where Cloudforce can learn and grow together as a team. Meetings are hosted on Fridays, as a part of Cloudforce’s dedicated Fun Fridays, where we set aside time to get to know each other, away from our screens🖥️. We talk about the book, the author, relevant current events, and how each chapter we read deepens our understanding of our work, and ourselves. Last quarter, we read Hit Refresh🔁 by Satya Nadella, the current Chairmen and CEO of Microsoft. Hit Refresh is the story of Nadella and his goals for the future of Microsoft, a future we are lucky to see unfolding before our eyes through new uses for Artificial Intelligence and the rise of #ChatGPT.🤖 While we may be a Microsoft shop, not every book is about Microsoft. We carefully change up the topics and genres for book selections quarterly, paying special attention to choose books that we believe will spark discussion and encourage professional development. What’s next on the Cloudforce Book Club roster? Stories that Stick📖 by Kindra Hall: an exploration of how skilled storytelling serves as an essential business tool to “captivate customers, influence audiences, and transform businesses.”
Recently, Cloudforce, in partnership with JBG SMITH, had the incredible opportunity to spend a day with students from the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington (BGCGW) at Drew Freeman Middle School in Prince George's County. Several #eliteforce members were on hand to speak about the exciting world of #technology and share personal insights on the challenges and rewards of a career in #IT. The event was a dynamic combination of the vast experiences and expertise of Washington, DC Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) leader JBG Smith and Cloudforce and provided students a chance to learn about the intersection of technology and real estate 🖥️🏨. In his hands-on presentation, “How IoT (Internet of Things) Devices Integrate with the Real Estate Industry,” Justin taught students about IoT, examples of devices (like smart watches and Ring security cameras), how they work, and what potential career paths exist within #RealEstate technology.
A lifelong resident of #PrinceGeorgesCounty, MD, Cloud Services Lead Angela Latson first came to Cloudforce as an intern. Now just two short years later, she is leading new intern teams, along with critical client service efforts. She shares her experiences and thoughts about Cloudforce, below. 💭 Because of Cloudforce... 👩💻I have combined my #IT experience, aspirations, and crazy hope and desire to help people of all ages fall in love with technology. I believe #technology is a friend not a foe 🤝 and I want to be a driving force to pave the way for a world that can embrace it. Coming to Cloudforce as an intern exposed me to many hands-on challenges from the jump; and shortly after being hired full-time, a major client challenge arose, and I found myself at the epicenter of restoring operability and sanity to an iconic institution. It was an experience I will always remember, and I’m grateful Cloudforce recognized and engaged my capabilities to make a major difference.

🪖💪 Our troops are sharp and ready! Cloud 101: Boot Camp, presented by Cloudforce, was a huge success! ✅ 💻The 5-day workshop series offered the exact knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience needed to effectively break into #cloud computing. Topics ranged from managing #Azure identities and governance to configuring virtual networks. 🎖️Our trained troops are now equipped to dominate their AZ-104; Microsoft Azure Administrator Certification Exams, scheduled and sponsored by Cloudforce this week💥. Attendees also gained foundational knowledge of services and concepts required to implement and manage an organization’s Microsoft cloud environment. They've got the tools needed to start a great career in tech and be considered for entry-level jobs in #Azurecloud administration. 🤓The no-cost program gained an amazing amount of interest having received 143 applicants, from which 16 participants were chosen. 100% of attendees had less than 4 years of tech career experience and 70% had none at all. Cloudforce is proud to take part in building our community’s future tech ninjas.
Last Friday, the #eliteforce had a tee-rific⛳ time at the brand-new sports bar right in National Habor! Cloudforce is thrilled to #support our new neighboring business, Tom's Watch Bar, that opened just last week! We enjoyed a filling buffet selection of food 😋, watched our favorite teams from the best seats in the house 🏀, and tried out their cool sports simulators. Our fierce #eliteforce had a blast competing against each other in football 🏈, hockey 🏒, soccer ⚽, dodgeball, and especially golf 🏌️. Thank you, Tom’s Watch Bar for welcoming us and adding another #glee filled team outing to the books! ✅
