The Crozer-Keystone community experienced an exciting transition last month: The Healthplex Sports Club changed hands from Crozer-Keystone ownership to ownership by the Community YMCA of Eastern Delaware County. Members of Crozer-Keystone's leadership team were proud to participate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially welcome the YMCA to our health system family. We hope the community enjoys the benefits of Springfield’s premier sports and fitness facility, now owned and operated by the YMCA! Congratulations and best wishes to Mike Ranck, President & CEO, and his team!
Congratulations to Regina Jones PCT from Adult Psych at Crozer-Chester Medical Center on her well-deserved retirement. Michael Curran, president of Crozer-Chester Medical Center, joined our Behavioral Health team at a luncheon last week to recognize Regina for 31 years of service and dedication to our health system (October 1989 through January 2020). We wish Regina a very happy and healthy retirement. Thank you for the care you provided to our patients and the community.
Our Crozer Burn team recently welcomed American Burn Association (ABA) site reviewers for their two-day re-verification survey. Earning the three-year re-verification requires an on-site visit and assessment of the Burn Center’s capacity to deliver the best possible care to its patients - not only those with burns but also others with a variety of skin injuries and diseases. Burn Center verification provides a true mark of distinction for a burn center. It is an indicator that the center provides high-quality patient care to burn patients from the time of injury through rehabilitation. ABA site reviewers Lucy Wibbenmeyer, MD, FACS, Clinical Professor of Surgery, Program Director of Burn Fellowship, and Burn Center Staff Surgeon for the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA, and Rajiv Sood, M.D., FACS, a board-certified plastic surgeon and Director of the Richard M. Fairbanks Burn Center in Indianapolis, IN, kicked-off their visit with a pre-review conference and dinner meeting.
