Our employees join our DENSO Family for stable jobs and to produce quality work, but they stay to grow their careers. Just ask Glen Sankey from our Maryville, Tenn., facility – he’s spent 30 years upskilling and building his career (fun fact, his ‘91 Toyota Camry still has the dashboard meter his production line made during his early days at DENSO).
After 29 years in our powertrain division, Dan Sweeney is retiring! When asked why he stayed, Dan said, “DENSO values its people. Through downturns and the pandemic, DENSO maintained its commitment to us, and continues to build people through training, challenging assignments and accountability.” To learn more about Dan’s career path at DENSO, visit:
“I’m driven to want to do a good job. I always want to learn and expand my capabilities into new areas, and I feel that DENSO creates great opportunities for me to do so.” Welcome to the DENSO team, Jami! It sounds like you have the DENSO Spirit. As a new member of the DENSO family, Jami is bringing a strong work ethic to her role as a Production Control Specialist. Learn about her onboarding experience and why she feels connected to her new team.
“On this day, we honor Dr. King’s commitment to service by asking ourselves what we can do for others. That, of course, extends beyond just one day and we actively work to give back to and improve our communities throughout the year.” - Denise Carlson, vice president of DENSO’s North American Production Innovation Center and executive lead for D&I. At DENSO, we pride ourselves on supporting employees who are looking to grow through school or training. When Maryville, TN production team leader Desiree Roese wanted to attend college, DENSO helped fund her tuition while she continued to work. In a challenging year, our amazing teams across the country are still giving back. One example is DENSO in Guelph, Canada. Every year, the team raises money for a local charity, and we were floored when support still came pouring in. Local leadership was so blown away, they matched our employees’ donations. We gave over $16,000 to CMHA Waterloo Wellington to support mental health services during the pandemic.
