It’s no secret that DENSO cares about its employees – Fabian Birnios, team leader at DENSO’s Maryville, Tenn. facility, has seen this firsthand over his 19-year-long career with us, and most recently during the COVID pandemic. At DENSO, we care about our communities – especially around the holidays and especially holidays during a pandemic. Our DENSO Auto Parts team in #LongBeachCA put together 45 baskets of food – 1,575 pounds total! – for the Food Bank of Southern California. This year marked our 25th annual Thanksgiving Food Basket Drive, which every year allows our team to spread some joy and help local families put dinner on the table.
“My department has been great - my manager and colleagues understand that things might not work how they should when working remotely. We’re all transparent with our concerns and we communicate openly.” -Christian Widgren Christian transferred to #DENSO in North America in the midst of a global pandemic. Here’s how Christian’s team has supported him, despite none of them working in the office together.
#VeteransDay was last week, but there's never a bad time to honor current and former military service members. Kevin Carson, president of our thermal manufacturing facility in #BattleCreekMI and a Navy veteran himself, did just that over the weekend when he spoke with FOX 17 about the importance of helping vets transition to civilian life and how we support their career development. #ThankYouVets https://www.fox17online.com/news/local-news/kzoo-bc/calhoun/denso-looking-to-hire-more-military-veterans

#DENSO wishes all servicemen and women a happy #VeteransDay, and extends a special thank you to the more than 440 DENSO employees who are active, former or reservist military service veterans. “DENSO’s core values are consistent with those that military members have lived while serving,” said Kevin Carson, president of DENSO’s Battle Creek facility and a Navy veteran. “If you come in and perform, it will be recognized and opportunities will follow. From my own experience and that of others, veterans have the ability to really excel here. We love the diverse experiences and perspectives they bring.” Comment below if you know someone who should be celebrated today, and check out how DENSO is supporting its network of veterans: https://bit.ly/3knzUUE
