DataCore Launches our New Perifery Edge Computing Business! Today we make DataCore history by announcing our strategic entry into the edge computing market! Why edge? Gartner and other leading analysts are projecting the edge will produce more than half of the world’s enterprise data across all verticals, geos and size of companies driven by new applications in IoT, ML, AI, streaming, etc. DataCore’s new DataCore.NEXT vision will lead our customers on that journey from core-to-edge-to cloud, and back again. Because of the massive data being generated at the edge, Perifery will break the current data gravity paradigm by moving compute to the data in the edge where it can be processed most efficiently, cost effectively, and securely. Perifery leverages our industry leading products in object for unstructured data and containers for Kubernetes container attached storage, with purpose-built appliances through partnerships like we announced today with Symply, the leader in Media and Entertainment storage!
