Equitrans Midstream puts its methane reduction strategies to work by participating in the One Future Coalition, INGAA and The Environmental Partnership. ETRN has set goals to cut methane emissions in half by 2030 and reduce total greenhouse gas emissions by an equal amount by 2040, aiming to achieve a goal of net zero carbon emissions by 2050. The U.S. Department of Energy has released a comprehensive report focusing on the benefits of increased oil and natural gas production in the U.S. over the past two decades. The joint effort of the agency’s Office of Oil and Natural Gas and the National Energy Technology Laboratory details the positive impacts of increased domestic energy production, the improvements to the environment through the use of natural gas for electricity, and the economic resurgence being realized through the manufacturing of thousands of consumer products derived from oil and gas. The report digs deeper into some of the technological advances that have accompanied the country’s shale revolution and the important role oil and natural gas will play as the world works to reduce carbon in the environment. On September 10th, ASPIRE kicked off the 2020-2021 academic year by welcoming 8 new juniors and returning 7 senior students! We are so excited to begin this season with this incredible group of ambitious students and their E-Train mentors. Thank you to everyone who helped with the virtual kick off and the planning of all the fun activities planned ahead! The ASPIRE Program is sponsored by the Equitrans Midstream’s Foundation. It strives to guide high school students through the fulfillment of their collegiate aspirations by inspiring them through supportive, professional mentorships with respected and qualified Equitrans Midstream's employees and providing scholarships each year to several eligible graduates.
On August 17, 2020, Mountain Valley Pipeline, LLC (MVP), the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, and The Conservation Fund, announced a conservation stewardship agreement that will advance the Conservancy?s mission to manage, protect and advocate for the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. As part of the voluntary agreement, MVP has committed up to $19.5 million to ensure the enhancement of the Appalachian Trail hiking experience by protecting thousands of acres of high-priority land and supporting outdoor recreation-based economies in southeastern West Virginia and southwestern Virginia.
Equitrans Midstream recently provided a new truck to Washington Township in Green County, PA. The township will use this donated vehicle for their road and maintenance crew. We are always proud to support the communities where we live and work!

ETRN and EQM announced financial and operational results for the first quarter 2020. Q1 2020 Highlights: -Delivered strong first quarter 2020 financial results ahead of plan -Raised full-year 2020 estimated earnings and cash flow guidance -Reduced full-year 2020 total capital expenditures and capital contribution forecast by $150 million -Generated 58% of total operating revenue from firm reservation fees -Increased fresh water delivery and achieved water EBITDA above expectations -Expected to close ETRN acquisition of EQM in June 2020
