On Monday, August 2, Focal Point announced that it had been acquired by CDW, a leading multi-brand technology services and solutions provider to business, government, education and healthcare customers in the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada. By joining forces, CDW and Focal Point become a dominant player in the cybersecurity space, with an expert team focused in today’s most important cybersecurity domains, from identity and access management to cloud security to DevSecOps.
Focal Point announced the promotion of Stephanie Hagopian to Senior Vice President of Business Development. In this role, she will lead global sales efforts for Focal Point, drive their go-to-market strategy, and assist in the overall strategic direction of the company. This move also places Focal Point within a relatively small club of cybersecurity firms with female-majority executive teams.
Focal Point announced it received Ping Identity’s coveted Identity Excellence award in the “Better Identity Together” category. This award recognizes the innovative solution developed and deployed by Focal Point at New York-Presbyterian Hospital (NYP), providing the hospital with a unified, policy-driven approach to managing vendor identities and privileged access.
Focal Point Data Risk announced the launch of its new digital badging program for cybersecurity professionals. The program will recognize the continued education and achievements of cyber professionals via digital credentials. In partnership with Credly, a digital credential leader, Focal Point Academy will create and distribute badges recognizing skill mastery, role proficiency, and completion of specialty exercises.
