Every year, on December 1, we commemorate World AIDS Day. This is an international day for organizations and individuals to bring attention to the HIV epidemic, honor those who died from an AIDS-related illness, and speak out against HIV stigma. We at Grindr support this year’s theme, set by HIV.org, “Ending the HIV Epidemic: Equitable Access, Everyone’s Voice.” HIV impacts every global demographic, and everyone diagnosed with HIV should receive adequate access to treatments and education that enable them to live long and happy lives. Check out our recent interview with The Old Gays reflecting on World AIDS Day and the impact HIV and AIDS has had on the gay and queer communities since the 1980s. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTABTdBFcQI

This Transgender Day of Remembrance, we remember and honor the many transgender and gender-diverse people whose lives were taken away from us. We remember these beautiful individuals as people who lived authentically in their identities and condemn the discrimination and violence they faced. We recognize that bigotry continues to threaten transgender and gender-diverse communities worldwide on a daily basis. At Grindr, we are committed to supporting our transgender and gender non-conforming users and communities through our global Grindr4Equality initiatives, user policies targeting and preventing hate speech and violence, and trans-inclusive employee benefits. We honor the legacies of those we remember on this day as we continue to fight for equality and safety for everyone. #transgenderdayofremembrance #transawareness #inclusionmatters #grindr
