In honor of Earth Day and Earth Month, employees across Group 1’s Houston locations came together to plant trees in Alief Independent School District Alief Liestman Elementary School . The dedicated team from Liestman, led by Principal Noe Galindo and Assistant Principal Jayne Williams, worked alongside volunteers from the Group 1 corporate office, Sterling McCall Lexus, Sterling McCall Honda, and passionate teachers from the school. Together, they planted a total of 25 trees around the school's playground, known as "Liestman Spark Park." This initiative aims to offer numerous physical and mental health benefits to the children, including providing shade and cool spots to rest, as well as enhancing the air quality in their play areas. Gene Messer Auto Group came together for a meaningful volunteer event at the South Plains Food Bank this week. The combined effort of all six stores: Gene Messer Chevrolet, Gene Messer Toyota, Gene Messer Ford Lubbock, Gene Messer Hyundai, Gene Messer Kia, and Gene Messer Volkswagen: resulted in a team of over 30 individuals. Together, they worked tirelessly to build more than 1,500 boxes of groceries specifically for senior citizens in the South Plains community. In just three hours, the team managed to package an astounding total of over 20,000 pounds of food. This collaborative effort highlights Gene Messer Auto Group's commitment to giving back and making a positive impact in the local community. Our Dallas Accounting Team engaged in a recent service project with the North Texas Food Bank as part of their quarterly team initiative – and it was a rewarding experience!
