Traffic situation awareness is key in reducing traffic congestion, improving road safety, and reducing traffic emissions. These issues are supported by the Kapsch Deep Learning Versatile Platform (DVLP): a comprehensive ecosystem that uses artificial intelligence to enable complex traffic monitoring and traffic management applications. It translates visual input into digital data – which is analyzed and processed in to trigger manifold actions and generate dynamic reports. The DLVP can be utilized in urban or highway settings to optimize traffic flows, manage emissions, detect dangerous situations, and support road infrastructure and users.
