Our Field Services team recently completed a 1,000+ scan project in North Carolina! This project brought together the strengths of our Ground Penetrating Radar, Utility Locating, Surveying, and 3D Laser Scanning capabilities. Using our fleet of three FARO laser scanners and Trimble surveying equipment, the team tackled a massive scope with precision. To ensure accuracy across the 6.4-acre site, we started by establishing a robust sitewide coordinate control network. From there, our team completed detailed laser scans inside and outside multiple multi-level process and production buildings, including: • Exterior tank farms • Pipe racks • Wastewater treatment areas • Truck loading facilities The result? An exceptionally large, highly accurate point cloud dataset that will support plant upgrades for years to come.
