Mersen WiN network met in Columbia, TN in June. 25 WiN members from US, Canada and Mexico participated in the meeting with many functions represented. The theme of the seminar was: Strengthening Women in Mersen. The group heard from Christina Pierce, General Manager of our site in Rochester, NY. She explained her journey to becoming a GM at Mersen. It was honest, informative and inspiring. Women in Mersen (WiN) is a network that offers women development opportunities and gives them greater visibility. Today the network conducts concrete actions and is also dedicated to giving back to the community. The WiN members met at a local organization called FreshSTART where they organized a stockroom and landscaped the modest transitional home
Mersen’s New comer event Americas 2023 The first "New Comer Event" of the year 2023 took place on April 5 and 6 in El Paso (Texas) in the United States. This session launched the traditional "NCE" series, the onboarding seminars for managers and professionals who have joined the Group during the year. 57 newcomers from the American continent met for two days of sharing and discovery. The event began with a visit of the Juarez plant in Mexico, during a tour organized by the local team. Following this visit, the participants attended a series of "à la carte" workshops, allowing them to deepen their knowledge on current issues or topics of importance to the Group.

Mersen is a new Corporate member of Women in Manufacturing® (WiM), the only national trade association dedicated to supporting, promoting, and inspiring women who have chosen a career in the manufacturing industry. WiM represents manufacturers of all types and welcomes individuals representing every job function – from the shop floor to the C-Suite. Mersen’s primary objective, the integration of an increasing number of women in all roles including roles in production, has over many years led to several initiatives in recruitment, professional development, communication, raising manager awareness, compensation, maternity/paternity leave, organizational changes, adaptation of workstations, etc.
