The Morgan Brothers understood the value of promotion and global visibility, when they established the Morgan Crucible Company. Whilst growing their global crucible business, the brothers established 'Morgan Brothers' Publishers in 1856. The founders used their publishing platform to produce journals and books, which they then promoted to prospective customers across the world. Learn more about our history.

At Morgan, we believe that the best way to support sustainable growth and performance is through an inclusive culture, one where employees are valued and their contributions are acknowledged and rewarded. Our 2030 aspirations for our people are simple. We will continue to create a work environment in which all employees feel valued and empowered to do their best at work. While this is an established part of the way we work, we will continue to find ways to improve and meet the needs of our people.
We value and benefit from diversity across all of our teams and our people, this includes in our leadership. We believe our teams should reflect the communities we serve, so we want to go further. By 2030 our goal is to see our leadership team made up of at least 40% female managers, executives, and directors.
At Morgan our commitment to safety is unchanged. It underpins everything we do and is a key to us leading in the right way. To achieve our ultimate goal of zero harm we want to achieve a 0.10 lost time accident rate by 2030. #2030Goals #ZeroHarm #ThinkSafe
Water is an invaluable resource across the world and is used at a high intensity in our industry. In order to continue making the most efficient use of the world's resources we will strive to see a 30% reduction in absolute water across our business by 2030. Our 2030 goals reflect our vision for the future.
Our 2030 goals seek to address the problems of tomorrow, today. One such rapidly growing issue is water scarcity. As the world tackles climate change, our bio-energy demands will exacerbate the pressure on global water demand, meaning many will face scarcity in water availability due to both physical shortages and scarcity in access to water. This is why by 2030 we will reduce our use of water by 30% in areas of high and extremely high stress.
At Morgan we are seeking ways to make the world more sustainable. The fight against climate change is one we all face. For Morgan, part of this fight will see us significantly reduce the emission of greenhouses within our business by 2030. Across our business we work towards achieving a 50% reduction in CO2 emissions (scope 1 & 2). The work to achieve this goal has already begun, learn more on how we will achieve our ambitious aspirations.
