NGHS building a new home for a longtime Flowery Branch physician practice
The next era of health care for people in Habersham County is here. As of July 1st, Habersham Medical Center has officially become Northeast Georgia Medical Center Habersham and joined NGHS. Patients can expect their care to remain the same, with the same providers and staff they’ve come to know over the years, as a number of Habersham specialty practices became NGPG during this transition. We are so proud to serve this community.

Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) plans to expand its hospital in Braselton to meet the growing needs of the surrounding communities by adding inpatient beds and expanding the Emergency Department. The expansion paves the way for several anticipated improvements at Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) Braselton including: -235,000 square feet of new clinical space, including two new patient care floors and 150 licensed acute care beds – bringing the hospital’s total licensed bed count to 284 -Increasing the number of treatment rooms in the Emergency Department from 23 to 46 to care for more people quickly and efficiently -Creating a new helipad, which will mean faster, more efficient access to life-saving heart, stroke and surgical care -Adding more than 200 new parking spaces for patients and visitors -Expanding the pharmacy, laboratory, kitchen and other support spaces Learn more about all of NGHS’ Growing the Greater Good projects at nghs.com/growing.

People living in and around the Braselton area will soon have more convenient access to outpatient surgery and other specialty care, as Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) is set to break ground next month on a new multispecialty medical office building that will house an ambulatory surgery center (ASC) on the Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) Braselton campus.
