#Juneteenth honors the end of slavery in America and acknowledges the many struggles and injustices African Americans have faced throughout our country’s history and in modern times. In honor of this significant day, we were recently joined by Kayla Harris, Ph.D. for a session discussing the history behind Juneteenth, how it shaped society, and the ways in which it continues to influence our world today. We will use this time to reflect on how we can work together to achieve permanent and lasting change. ❤️

Papa was proud to sponsor this year's National Senior Games a multi-sport event for adults over the age of 50. Last week’s #NationalSeniorHealthandFitnessDay inspired us to celebrate JoAnn Sampson, an athlete who just competed in her 10th Senior Games. 🏅 To JoAnn, the #NationalSeniorGames are “the best thing she could have ever been a part of”. JoAnn, 80 years old with now 10 games under her belt, was ready to get back on the track this year—and she's running in her late daughter’s memory. Prior to joining the Senior Games, JoAnn knew nothing about track and field. With a desire to find something to fill her retired days, she found community — and joy — in sports. "I have met so many beautiful people around the country from doing this," Sampson said. "It's a very special moment in time that I will never forget." What she really wants others to take from her story is that it's never too late to start doing what you love. “Life is not just waiting for the storm to be over."
