Congratulations to Melanie Johnson, CFA and Deb Schoneman, recipients of the latest Piper Sandler Community Awards. Melanie Johnson has received the Bobby & Tad Piper Community Service Award, which recognizes an employee who has acted in service to their community through volunteerism and ongoing commitment. Johnson is a dedicated board chair for the Dayton YMCA, where she mentors newer board members and remains active in community activations and fundraising. Deb Schoneman has received the David Crosby Community Leadership Award, honoring an employee for outstanding long-term leadership and board service with charitable organizations. For more than 15 years, Schoneman has volunteered in all aspects of the nonprofit BestPrep; coordinating and participating in the eMentors program, providing job shadowing for teachers, judging business plans at the Minnesota Business Venture business and financial literacy camps, and providing exemplary leadership in developing the organization’s strategic plan.
