Presenting: the winners/survivors of the Battle of the Bots! Last week, Patrick Armstrong, Emma Clennett and Matthew Fennell had a great time running a team hackathon with Newcastle University undergraduates, in which the students were tasked with creating AI bots to play against other teams in a battle to the (artificial!) death. There were prizes in the form of Amazon vouchers for the top three teams, which were: • 1st Place – Code Executioners (Dale, Jack and Mark) • 2nd Place – Team Tetra (Nathan and Jesse) • 3rd Place – Bulbasaur (Jack, Michalina and Warren) We had great feedback from the teams and we can truly say that the bots were some of the best we’ve seen!
