Millions of households could play key role in helping UK meet its climate goals, according to a new WPI report supported by ScottishPower
The prototype Real Time Fault Level Monitor will help SP Energy Networks actively manage the electricity network by measuring and managing the fault level (short circuit capacity) of electric power supply in real time.
Project PACE is underway and we aim to determine optimum Electric Vehicle (EV) charging point locations and the electricity network infrastructure required to support them.
ScottishPower has launched the Zero Carbon Communities campaign to help support communities to deliver on climate change. Each community across the UK is unique, requiring local solutions to meet local needs, and aligned investment plans so that we can support these communities right where they need it. Glasgow has set its own ambitious target to become the UK’s first Net Zero city, but how it gets there will be significantly different from other big cities across the country.
As the city’s electricity distributor, SP Energy Networks will reinforce the network from Govan to the new riverside Buchanan Wharf development in Tradeston on the south bank of the River Clyde. This will include upgrades across the Gorbals, Govanhill, Pollokshields, Tradeston, Cessnock, Kinning Park, Govan and Ibrox.

Iberdrola group, a member of the Forum, will again be taking part in the event, which will define the global agenda for 2020.
The electric buses are being fully funded as part of our £20million Green Economy Fund, which supports Glasgow’s mission to become the UK’s first net zero emissions city by 2030. It also contributes to the Scottish Government’s ambitious plans to meet climate change targets, boost local economic growth, improve air quality across the country and deliver a better future, quicker for our communities.
