In a year that has proved to be challenging in so many ways, our local charitable organizations have scrambled to reinvent themselves at a time when the need is at its greatest within our communities. In a pandemic-stricken 2020, Sequence team members, across multiple states, collected nearly 450 gifts for children as part of our years-long partnership with Toys for Tots. This could have only been accomplished through the efforts and generosity of our selfless team members. -Toys collected: Over 120 delivered to Sequence office in Morrisville, North Carolina -Money donated: Over $2,500 donated by Sequence team members -Toys purchased in New England and North Carolina: Over 320 purchased by our "buying teams" -Happy children and families in our communities due to our efforts: Too many to count!
Sequence formed a partnership with Make-A-Wish in 2019 as part of our Charity and Community Outreach program. The Eastern NC Trailblaze Challenge was identified as a major initiative of that partnership in 2020. Trailblaze is a 26.5 mile endurance hike where participants raise funds to help in granting the wishes of children in Eastern North Carolina who are suffering from critical illnesses. While the overall event went virtual this year due to COVID, eight members of the Sequence team gathered this past October at Umstead Park in Raleigh and completed the full 26.5-mile walk while facing rain and uneven terrain. We also had five other participants that completed their walks individually, bringing the total distance walked to nearly 350 miles! These colleagues stepped up in a big way as they formed one of the largest corporate teams in the history of Trailblaze Challenge. Their combined efforts resulted in over $25,000 raised to grant wishes to local children!
