OcuWeld utilizes Virtual Reality (VR) to enhance our welding training programs using the Oculus Quest2 device. Designed by welders for welders, OcuWeld provides welding students the opportunity to practice their hands-on training in a virtual environment where concerns about safety, access and cost are no longer relevant. OcuWeld immerses students in a virtual environment that mimics real life training experiences and provides the opportunity to practice skills independently. StrataTech Education Group’s 2019 study on how high schools don’t do enough to promote skilled trades as a post-high school path, was cited in a Forbes article about the shortage of tradespeople to complete renovations in homes and the shortage of materials needed to make those renovations.
This Thursday, TWS premiered the TWS Mobile Welding Unit. The mobile weld training until is TWS’s way to bring the trailer, the equipment, and the expertise straight to jobsites to train employees, new and old. The Refrigeration School, Inc. (RSI) announced today its partnership with Chas Roberts, one of the largest and longest-standing residential HVAC companies in Arizona, to recruit and train 100 new installers for Chas Roberts. RSI will recruit the aspiring skilled trades professionals and provide hands-on training leading new students to a path of employment with Chas Roberts. With more than 25 years of experience, Lars Vaaler has led an accomplished career in financial planning and business development. Vaaler holds an undergraduate degree in business administration from California State Polytechnic University and a master’s in business administration from California State University, Long Beach Pomona.
