Meet the team! 👋 Today we would like to introduce Ioannis Argyroulis, one of our Java Developers. We asked Ioannis what he loves about his role, to which he responded: ''What I love about being a Java Developer is that I get to use software as the means to bring ideas into life, in the form of applications. I also like that there's more to the job than just writing code; it involves thinking of smart ways to solve problems and discussing them with your colleagues, before starting to implement a software solution. At SurePay, our steps challenges are part of our annual activity calendar. In October, our SurePay’ers have entered into a new steps challenge, this time with a twist. Additional to walking to gain enough steps, we have challenged our colleagues to complete a bingo card and share ‘proof’. This was not only to stimulate employees to go outside, but also to boost social sharing during the challenge. And what an awesome result! Meet the team! 👋 Today we like to introduce Steen Álvarez Jacobsen- Head of Nordics. We asked him what he loves about being Head of Nordics. His answer: "SurePay is on a joint mission with banks to make payments safer for organisations and consumers like you and I across the Nordics - what's not to love!" His most memorable moment within SurePay: his first time meeting all of his colleagues in the picturesque surroundings of Utrecht. "We all went out walking to grab a sandwich, chat and sit in the sun next to the canals." If Steen had to choose who he would like to be for a day, he would choose Elon Musk. ''How on Earth (or Mars) does he structure himself and does he have time for a run during the week?'' Lastly we asked him: What makes SurePay, SurePay?: "The professionalism, respect and good vibes! Everyone is eager to reach our goals and support each other to make it happen."
Meet the SurePay team! Today we like to introduce Florian Blom, our Customer Success Manager. We asked Florian what he loves about his role: "Well, as customer success managers we really get to see the impact of our services on our end users, which happens to be immense. Making sure that our customers utilise the potential of our services and ensuring that the interactions we have with them are valuable and fun, really boosts my energy". He is both curious and afraid of the things he would learn about himself, maybe she is right about many things after all... His most memorable moment within SurePay is the time we went to the famous karaoke place 'Café Ome Willem' in his second month at the company. Seeing his colleagues putting on performance after performance confirmed that he was working for the right company!

Meet Elton Qevani, our DevOps Engineer 👋. He loves to architect scalable and secure platforms. As a platform lead, he has to wear a lot of different hats, this helps him excel at a variety of tasks. We asked him who he would choose if he could be someone else for one day and why? "Well, given my passion for F1 cars, being engineer or strategist of an F1 team would be a dream. The F1 team is the sort of a platform where many parts have to be combined to be able to deliver a product." His most memorable moment with SurePay? Being able to see all his colleagues after almost a year of working, during the first Meta-Covid company party. It was funny attaching heads (from Zoom) to bodies in real life. Another memorable moment was on a technical level, namely being part of making SurePay the first vendor that offers the Cross-Border Check to avoid fraud.
