Last Friday we enjoyed a fun cricket clinic and a VrijMiBo drink with a group of SurePayers. Even though the weather did not allow us to play an actual game outside, we got a bit of a taste of cricket during an inside clinic from one of the national team players in collaboration with some VRA Cricket Club players. Meet the SurePay team! 👋 Today we introduce Vera Augustijn, our HR & Office Employee. She started with us right after she graduated from her HBO study Human Resources and is also our unofficial event manager. “The overall variety of tasks related to HR & Office topics makes everyday work at SurePay fun for me. I also like that I am responsible for coming up with ideas for gifts and events for my colleagues.” Fun fact about Vera within SurePay; she makes sure our plants at the office stay alive while working from home. What is her biggest energiser? “To start something from scratch and see it come to realisation. For example the policies that we are working on from HR. Getting more and more responsibilities and being able to grow and add your own touch to the things you do.” Vera feels the people and work environment are what makes SurePay, SurePay. “The people, the way we treat each other. Everyone is equal within SurePay, no feeling of hierarchy.”
Meet the SurePay team! 👋 Today we introduce Julian Mulder, our Senior DevOps Engineer in team Zelda. He joined SurePay last summer. Julian feels his work at SurePay is exciting and challenging every day. "Sometimes I'm focussing on redesigning our internal tools, other times I'm trying out new products to make our engineers' lives easier". Julian's biggest energiser is that we are a relatively small company that makes a HUGE impact on ordinary people's lives. He starts his day off with a cup of coffee, in his own words: "With a 4 year old and a newborn, I need coffee flowing through my veins". And what makes SurePay, SurePay? "For me it is the culture within SurePay. We're a startup, and still learning. And making mistakes is fine, as long as you learn from them."
