What a gift to have Inky Johnson as the Keynote speaker at our 2021 Annual Kickoff! His message brought inspiration, energy and perspective to look at our lives and circumstances with a new lens. "What is life trying to teach me right now?" "Continue to practice the things that make you who you are." I think we all came away with notepads full of things that will influence us well beyond 2021. Thank you, Inky!
We are looking forward to having Awatif Yahya take all of our leaders through a Diversity & Inclusion workshop next week as one of the highlights of our Annual Kickoff event! We'll be learning about identifying our own biases, embracing true diversity and inclusion, and removing the barriers that can stand in the way. Although we wish we could be together in person for the event, Awatif has been great about helping us shape a way that we can come together virtually in engaging and collaborative ways for this very important session. We are grateful for the technology that keeps us together as a community when circumstances are keeping us apart physically.

The pandemic has undoubtedly changed the way we live and work. While video meeting technology is terrific, sometimes too much of a good thing can still be too much. For the next few months, we’re implementing a “Zoom-Out Wednesdays” policy as a company. We’ll take a few dedicated hours on Wednesdays as a company, in unison, to create a little space from internal meetings and find some time to focus on our individual work.
Syntellis is proud to support the Time to Vote initiative. We encourage all who are eligible to vote to exercise that right and privilege, and to help others do so as well. To that end, on Election Day we are scheduling no internal meetings, closing our offices at 2:00 p.m., and giving our employees paid time off to vote and to volunteer at the polls. Let's get out and vote!
