This month’s “Vet Voices” spotlight features a Q&A session with Dr. Karen Murphy. As a member of Caring Hands Animal Hospital and Co-Owner of the Bristow, Clarendon, Merrifield, and Rockville locations, Dr. Murphy has been a member of the VPP community since April 2023. When asked how VPP aligns with her vision and values, Dr. Murphy said: “The alignment in values was a big part of the reason why we chose VPP as a partner. My professional journey has been driven by a passion for providing high-quality care to animals and building a strong sense of community in the veterinary field. VPP’s commitment to keeping veterinarians in ownership roles and supporting practice growth is in perfect harmony with our long-held goals at Caring Hands Animal Hospital. The core values of VPP – caring, serving, collaborating, and doing the right thing – closely mirror our own values of community, accommodation, reliability, integrity, and teamwork. Our shared belief in these principles has fostered a cooperative and trusting relationship that allows us to continue caring for our staff, clients, and patients more effectively with VPP’s support.” Be sure to read the full Q&A spotlight our website: https://www.vetpracticepartners.com/whats-new/
🎊 VPP Homecoming 2023 – Celebrating Legacy & Looking to the Future #Throwback to VPP’s annual “Homecoming” event when our CEO, John McDonough, walked us through our unique company history and shared his vision for our future. During an incredible weekend filled with laughter and connection, John’s inspiring words from our opening session continued to reverberate throughout our event: “Our brightest days are ahead of us.” ✨ When asked how he measures success, John noted, “Success is not about, not making mistakes, but about how we learn, grow, adapt, and evolve as individuals and a community. Success is not measured by what you have or achieve, but by how you live, and VPP lives our mission, vision, and values every day.” VPP is special because of the amazing people that choose to be a part of it 💖 Together, we are stronger. Together, we succeed by positively impacting and developing each other as we work together toward our mission of setting the standard for what veterinary medicine should be 🐾 “I think we will be great. No, I know we will be great.” - John McDonough To hear more from John McDonough, click the link below! #VPPCommunity #VPPHomecoming #VPP #VPPCommunityMatters
🐾VPP Homecoming 2023 – 🎉 Celebrating our Legacy & Looking to the Future Thank you to our incredible VPP community for another spectacular “Homecoming” event! It’s truly special the way our VPP community shows up for each other and connects with each other. On the first night of Homecoming amidst laughter and hugs, a pedestrian walked by our event and asked, “Is this a family reunion?” and in a way, it was 💖 Connection, collaboration, partnership, and culture are central to VPP, but what truly makes VPP special is our people. At Homecoming, we spoke about what we want our legacy to be and defined it as how we positively impact others through growth and development so they may flourish and live out our mission. As we continue to grow and evolve, we will build upon our legacy by adhering to our core values: We care, We serve, We collaborate, We do what we say, We do the right thing. The future of VPP is bright ✨ and we look forward with excitement, knowing that our collective efforts and passion will drive our vision of setting the standard for what veterinary medicine should be and preserving the heart in what we do. #VPPCommunity #VPPHomecoming #VPP #VPPCommunityMatters
Thank you to the Iowa State VBMA for hosting us and having Dr. Michelle Vitulli discuss her path to practice ownership! If you would like to learn more about externships or other opportunities with a VPP hospital, please email Ross Powell at rpowell@vetpartners.com.
🌟VPP Homecoming Spotlight: Dr. Michelle Vitulli🌟 VPP is privileged to have a team of passionate and dedicated veterinary professionals who work to provide the best care to animals across the country. As we reflect on VPP’s 2023 “Homecoming” meeting, one of the standout moments was Dr. Michelle Vitulli’s presentation on VPP culture. Dr. Vitulli is the founder and owner of Caring Hands Animal Hospital, a network of 8 hospitals in Maryland and Virginia. Through their recent partnership with VPP, Caring Hands elevated 21 associate doctors to become equity partners, turning ownership from a dream to reality. This partnership, like many VPP partnerships, allows us to not only make ownership possible for associate veterinarians but also work together toward our joint mission of keeping veterinary medicine in the hands of veterinary professionals, sparking joy in the human-animal bond, and finding fulfillment in one another’s success. We're stronger together as demonstrated every day by our incredible community and unique partnership model. Why is VPP different? Because we care, we listen, we collaborate, and we do what we say. It's not about what is best, but what is right. Thank you to Dr. Michelle Vitulli for participating in Homecoming 2023 and sharing your valued voice and experience with our VPP community! #VPPCommunity #VPPHomecoming #VPP #VPPCommunityMatters
At VPP “Homecoming” 2023, we heard from our 🌟 incredible Medical Advisory Board (MAB) and learned what role they play in ensuring VPP stays true to our mission of keeping veterinary medicine in the hands of veterinary professionals! VPP’s MAB is comprised of six skilled and experienced doctors/owner-partners who work tirelessly to preserve the heart of veterinary medicine at their own hospitals across the country 🐾 The MAB’s goal is to advance VPP as an organization by contributing knowledge and experience on how we improve the co-ownership model for all our practices, current and future. Part of the MAB’s mission is to help build the premier model for practice ownership and contribute to a sustaining culture of collaboration and success ✨ They serve as a voice for doctors/partners on issues around larger initiatives while individual practices retain a clear voice in matters of their own. During the MAB panel discussion at Homecoming, our representatives shared a few key thoughts regarding how they collaborate with VPP leadership to drive improvement... “They listen…they hear us every time.” “We recommend…not require.” “We inform…not enforce.” “We support…not mandate.” “VPP holds true: the best patient care is in the hands of veterinarians.” Thank you to our wonderful Medical Advisory Board for living out VPP’s mission, vision, and values every day! #VPPCommunity #VPPHomecoming #VPP #VPPCommunityMatters

At VPP’s annual “Homecoming” meeting earlier this month, partnership, culture, and growth were three key topics of discussion. One of the pillars of VPP’s mission is celebrating and finding fulfillment in the success of others, and our community certainly had a lot to celebrate at Homecoming 2023! One of our major successes this year was elevating 86 veterinarians from associate to partner 🎉 As a community dedicated to keeping veterinary medicine in the hands of veterinary professionals, we know how important ownership is. Our unique partnership model is driven by veterinarian leadership, with VPP as an operational thought partner, and empowering doctors to grow their hospitals with clinical autonomy. We are so thrilled for these 86 veterinarians and proud of their dedication and passion 💖 At Homecoming, we discussed our VPP legacy, specifically, how we positively impact others through growth and development, so they may flourish and live on our mission, vision, and values ✨ By investing in, uplifting, and developing young veterinary leaders, VPP is poised to continue working toward the vision of setting the standard for what veterinary medicine should be preserving the heart in what we do. 🐾 #VPPCommunity #VPPHomecoming #VPP #VPPCommunityMatters
