Last week, we opened the doors of our biggest technology center in Europe--in Sofia, Bulgaria--to the next generation of engineering talent. Students from technical universities got to experience what it feels like to work in the most dynamic and exciting area of technology. “Our technologies change the way people connect with the world through their vehicles each and every day. Your work will be recognized by millions of drivers around the world,” said Loick Griselain, Regional Vice President and General Manager for Europe, as he welcomed the students. During the day students learned what it means to work on future technologies and be part of our game-changing team in Sofia. They witnessed some of our flagship products featured in Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Volkswagen and Peugeot products.

Visteon was a proud partner of the International Automotive & Mobility Forum 2022 in Sofia, Bulgaria. We had the pleasure of sharing the stage with the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, the Minister of Innovation and Growth, fellow industry experts and colleagues to discuss best practices in the automotive industry, impacting Southern and Eastern Europe (SEE). The manufacturing team in India hosted Qais M. Sharif, Vice President, Display Product Lines, and General Manager of the Americas region. Qais reviewed the production capacity for existing and new business, and the manufacturing footprint. Visteon is expanding its manufacturing capabilities in India to include state-of-the-art optical bonding solutions. The new facility will be ready by mid-2023. Optical bonding is a process that fills the air gap between the touch panel and the actual display (e.g. LCD, OLED) with a refractive index-matched optically clear adhesive (OCA) to drastically reduce reflections. This method improves readability both indoors and outdoors, and the enhanced display performance leads to a much-improved user experience. The market in India is quickly evolving towards adopting digital cockpits.
We are excited to welcome a new group of RISERS in Queretaro, Mexico today. They will work with some of the best minds at Visteon and contribute to the transformation of the automotive industry.

We recently inaugurated a large-scale high-tech laboratory in Bulgaria. This is the first of its kind in the country. The products produced by Visteon’s engineering centers in Europe —for the global automakers-- will be tested in this lab. The tests include: simulating a range of real-world scenarios, including extreme in-car environments that vehicles around the world must deal with. This is also the only laboratory in Bulgaria that performs tests for electromagnetic compatibility and resistance of the device to electromagnetic interference.
