Each day, Glassdoor remains loyal to our mission of helping people everywhere find a job and company they love. Today, Veteran’s Day, we have a special mission to salute the men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. To support these individuals who have bravely protected our freedom here in the U.S., we’re highlighting the more than 1,400 employers who have publicly committed to helping America’s military veterans find work.
A year ago, Glassdoor introduced Benefits Reviews & Ratings, and since then thousands of employers have self-verified the benefits they offer. As part of Glassdoor Benefits Reviews, employers are invited to select important and notable pledges and certifications that help further distinguish themselves to job candidates. These ‘pledges & certifications’ include: veteran hiring commitments, pay equality pledges, tech hiring commitments, career advancement programs, diversity commitments and more. Once an employer selects their pledges and certifications, a badge appears on the employer’s profile indicating their commitments, see example below from Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
Today, job seekers have more information at their fingertips than ever before. This means they don’t have to settle for organizations that don’t have their best interests at heart and more importantly, they have tools to seek out companies which truly align with their ideals. Plus, Glassdoor offers employers the opportunity to showcase commitments like this so they can find talented individuals with like-minds.
If you’re an employer interested in highlighting your own company’s commitment to hiring veterans, request a Free Employer Account, log in to your employer center, select ‘benefits’, and begin updating your Pledges and Certifications.
