The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Cars.com (Chicago, IL) in Oct 2011
Interview
I should have known from the start. The first call I received from Trish I was driving, and I asked her to call me back or could we talk another time. Trisha seemed to be very short with me from that point on. We rescheduled about 3 days later after I emailed her and called her back multiple times leaving her voice mails as she never picks up her phone. Once I had the phone interview again she was very short and I felt brushed off. She asked why do you want to work for Cars.com...why do you want to leave your current position. Basic interview questions. She just sounded burnt out and ended up waisting a week of my time. Totally unprofessional and disingenuous. Clearly a poor representative of Cars.com
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Cars.com
Interview
Starts as always with HR, then hiring manager, then hiring managers manager. Questions are pretty generic and really want to know about your background. They really want hunter mentality big time so present that as much as possible. Know the "challenger sales" method as it is their primary sales training/technique
