Pros

The salary is good, and work from home is accepted.

Cons

The managers have no management skills. They are not professional and promote a terrible atmosphere for working. Information sharing does not exist. Eclipsys is a very bad place to work.

Advice to Management

Get professional. Managers should treat employees with respect. Everyone is not going to be a super performer, but wveryone can still be treated with fairness and dignity.

    Pros

You get to learn alot but it's a shame that the meaningful things you learn are usually picked up while under pressure.

    Cons

Low pay, understaffed, overworked, unnecessary meetings and processes put in place for people who already can not complete their jobs without the wasteful processes and meetings

    Advice to Management

Listen to the foot soldiers when they say that you are understaffed, underpaying and overworking the staff. Otherwise, you get into sticky situations like the recent lawsuit brought by former/current investors who claim you did not staff well enough to meet the expectations you had publicly set (even if the lawsuit turns out to be unsubstantiated). Allscripts had years to correct this and lower management repeatedly tried to address upper management on the issue.

    Pros

Market growing quickly, potentially good product, pashionate workforce

    Cons

Management has unrealistic expectations and sets unachievable bonus targets, carrys expensive dead-weight empoyees, and has lost touch of what really happens in the business.

    Advice to Management

Managers need to get out of the crystal palaces and really listen to what the empolyees have to say. Some have not seen their managers for more than a year.
