I have been working at Computer Generated Solutions full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    -It's a job.
    -Coworkers are generally good people.

    Cons

-President out of touch with workforce, no concept of employee satisfaction.
-CHEAP company in all aspects of the word.
-Old, piecemeal technology and equipment, place is lacking for a tech company. They don't want to pay the licensing fee for standard programs like MS Outlook; no one has a full version of Acrobat, etc.
-Business group leaders, VPs and SVPs have no real decision-making authority, everything goes through president.
-Employees not trusted and treated like children, no working from home, no business casual, few paid holidays, zero appreciation perks.
-Comparatively, benefits are marginal, expensive to employees, and outdated.
-A lot of initiatives abandoned midstream...people feel they thanklessly do work for nothing. New ideas ignored.
    -Very high turn over.
-Rewards go to senior level and sales people, not plain old employees.
    -Things don't get better.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management needs to understand that empowered and appreciated employees are the most productive and loyal and there is a difference between being smart economically and being cheap. Spend a few bucks on your employees and stop acting like you're a hall monitor to unruly children.
