      Pros

One of the biggest advantages of working here is the opportunity to be part of a global company and contribute to international projects. This exposure allows employees to collaborate with diverse teams, gain valuable cross-cultural experience, and work on large-scale initiatives that have a real impact. It’s definitely a great environment for professional growth!

      Cons

The salary could be more competitive, especially considering industry standards. Negotiating a raise with HR is a challenging process, often met with resistance and a lack of transparency. Even high-performing employees struggle to secure meaningful salary increases, which can be frustrating and demotivating.

      Pros

Employees are great to work with 90% of the time. Saftey is a priority. Most employees will laugh at this notion but it is truly a safe place to work and saftey on around and while operating the train is paramount. Little to no micromanaging. Come to work on time do your job and go home.

      Cons

Management not their fault but are controlled and must comply and bow to all of Metrolinx's demands. Eg. Constant schedule changes you will not have a set schedule, even after 15 years of senority. You will work nights and weekends for the first 3 to 4 years or early mornings starting around 3:30am to 4:30am. Year 5 to 6 good schedule usually. Again year 6 to year 13 bad schedule. Year 13 onward your schedule can be from decent to great depending on your personal life if you managed to have one after 13ish years of work and not much else. Even then then change to your schedule will always happen from day one on the job till you retire. As well you dont know until Thursday what your schedule will be for the coming Sun to Sat. I agree and understand this, but no errors are permitted. So work with a clean record for 10 years make a mistake and you can and more than often will be fired. Now your entering a job market with 0 transferable skills. Other railways always check before hiring with your former employer and will not hire you. Its still a tight knit industry. Working facilities are, putting it nicely inadequate. 3 toilets 4 urinal (mens washroom) for a staff that is now nearing 500. No paid sick days. Vacation is based on seniority. So until you have been there 10ish years you are not fetting vacation during summer months or December. As well March break. Small thing but Uniforms are uncomfortable and ugly. Fashion 101, dont wear multiole shades of grey. Well thats the uniform.
