Adyen has a really interesting set of products that make it rewarding to work for them. There is always something new to learn about a product, or payments in general. It does not feel repetative.
People are awesome, benefits are good, cool offices with lunch every day.
I don't feel like I am micro managed or need to stay up late to finish work.
Cons
Comp could be a bit better. Adyen plus (1k fringe benefit) helps, but ideally base and equity should be a higher. Support works hard after all, and it can be a thankless job.
Not really a financial incentive for high performers.
- Talented and driven people who will inspire you and challenge you
- Good pay, benefits, and perks, especially for junior positions
Cons
- After its hypergrowth, the culture has inevitably become corporate = numbers first, people last in many ways
- Lots and lots of silos and tacky/sticky middle management layer that could use some serious coaching
- Office politics and blatant favoritism
Lots of benefits are being taken away and management pretend it doesn’t happen
A lot of the leads don’t really have a plan
Salaries aren’t really competitive anymore and growth is becoming impossible
Adyen has great extra benefits for NextGens, such as free food and drinks at the office.
Cons
Unfortunately, there are no other benefits for NextGens. Also they have stopped hiring NextGens into fulltime positions. Forcing the NextGens to find jobs elsewhere.
