      Pros

I use the products Bath & Body sells so being able to get good discounts on candles, body care products, soap, etc. was a perk of working there. My coworkers were some of the best coworkers I've had and management was also great! I was also promoted pretty quickly. From associate to cash lead within 4 months of employment and shortly after I was promoted to a temporary key holder which came with a minimum of 30 hours and week and a small pay raise.

      Cons

The short shifts ended up being the reason I left. Around the holidays, you get a bunch of hours but afterwards, for months I might add, hours are significantly reduced and you may see only 1 shift for the week. The shifts could be a minimum of 3 hours with the option of an extension if necessary. This means that you're only going to be scheduled for 3 hours but if somebody calls off your shift could get extended to 5 hours to help cover their shift. This coupled with having just 1 shift a week didn't helping pay the bills and I had to get a second job to make ends meet. LOW PAY!!!! The minimum pay was about $13 an hour and unless you were a manager, nobody was making over $15 an hour! They over hired, at least at my location. They would hire way more people than necessary which meant about 90 people had to share shifts. If too many people were there, even though the shifts were just 3 hours long, you could still get sent home early because they wouldn't have the payroll if the store wasn't busy.

      Pros

Always looking to innovate and had many incentives for employees from pay raise, to free items. Upper management created environment of excellence. They made many changes to keep retention high.

      Cons

I disagreed with political push in products and views. Specifically around DEI. During COVID pressured employees to complete survey in regard to vaccination status and pressured to get vaccinated.

      Pros

Management will greatly affect your overall experience. I was one of the lucky few who had good managers! It's a good job for who are students due to schedule flexibility. there are a lot of free products given out as gratis, perks of working retail: knowing about promotion. sales etc.

      Cons

Lack of career advancement. Minimum wage and an insignificant pay raise

      Pros

The discount is nice. It’s a relatively easy job per the job description and I had some fun coworkers. They also do a phenomenal job at having a diverse and inclusive workplace for all races and for the LGBTQIA community. Jury is still out for the disabled folks. It’s a store that tends to be overstaffed- if you need time off that isn’t a blocked out holiday, you’re probably going to get it.

      Cons

Management is oddly immature for full grown adults, but I’ve had that experience in many retail jobs. The discussion tends to lean more towards gossip than improving store metrics. There is so much cattiness that happens both between management and between sales associates that is never confronted or dealt with. We were given a set amount of hours and staff to deal with restocking inventory, but constantly had those hours and staff ripped away and delegated back to sales. Can’t sell what is not on the shelves. This company in particular has a very intense sales style. The walkie talkies are a requirement to wear and it’s constant communication and pressure on sales staff and shoppers alike. I’ve seen MANY shoppers walk out because they don’t want to constantly be interacted with and have verbally stated that. Management doesn’t seem to understand that some shoppers will spend more if they are just given some space. Upper management positions are often outside hires. Not always, but often. Holiday pay is a temporary $1/hr increase and the pay increases 50¢/hr from sales associate to key holder. Late night floor sets can often go until midnight or 1am. It’s a store that tends to be overstaffed- associates may have very few hours depending on what the store is allocated that week.

      Cons

      - Paid for school by the company cannot impact ongoing work load, meaning 1–2 courses maximum, per semester. -Biannual raise is small, adds up over time.
