Pros
Better Help was once an excellent gig for therapists, but it has been drastically declining with policies that are sort of snuck in with big effects to your pay, and horrible problems with connectivity for sessions over the last year. I do not know if their shift to an insurance model has anything to do with these developments, but I once loved their mission to help everyone access mental health. Big changes and not good ones!
Cons
Over the last year, the following have happened: Lost wages due to frequent IT issues on BH's end that they assume no responsibility and are extremely slow to fix Significant policy changes without sufficient notice to therapists Huge change in pay policies that severely reduce your pay rate and billable hours Slowness to fix their IT issues has also lost me several clients who also thought they were being intentionally rejected.
