What is the salary like at Corning?

      Corning reviews

      Decent Pay, Poor Working Environment

      Service crew
      Former employee
      Vineland, NJ
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Good pay, overtime is almost always available, room for growth, decent benefits

      Cons

•Over mandated •Some biases •lots of Finger Pointing with accountability lacking •training NEEDS to be better; made thorough with excellence •the training doesn’t fully prepare/equip you to meet company expectations •rotation schedule is the absolute worst as it is weekly; grueling work and hard on the body and health •high stress environment •unheard regarding concerns brought to superiors

      Bad Management

      Production associate
      Current employee
      Concord, NC
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Decent pay, good benefits, some overtime available.

      Cons

Bad management, supervisors, policies. Very strict with high turnover rate, they only care about numbers and not their employees.

Good pay and overtime, but favoritism is rampant

      Ip temp
      Former employee
      Winston-Salem, NC
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

The pay is good,, they offer overtime, every other weekend off.

      Cons

Favoritism, if you get in trouble the whole plant will know before you. HR managers hire who they’re and to hire instead of people that actually deserve it & would work hard. HR managers gossip more than the regular employees.

      Great company

      Recommend
      CEO approval

      Cons

Rotating shifts causing high turnover in staffing

      Not a bad entry level

      Cons

      Love it here

      Line operator
      Current employee
      Hickory, NC
      Recommend
      CEO approval

Great pay, and great working environment

      Cons

      Great Pay, Non-existent sick time

      Production associate
      Current employee
      Concord, NC
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

The pay is great for a relatively low barrier to entry. they train you pretty well.

      Cons

12 hour swing shifts are not kind on the body. little to no work life balance outside of the 7 day break. does not accept doctors notes if you get sick and do not have any accrual time left, and you will get written up for "excessive absenteeism" regardless of if you were sick, or whatever may have been the case

Toxic work environment, check who you work with

      Anonymous employee
      Current employee
      Charlotte, NC
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Hybrid work schedule, nice office coffee bar, good company reputation, big company, pension

      Cons

      1. IT hardware outdated, software and technology not as good as you may think 2. Office politics, new employee and young professional get singled out. You can't expect to be treated with respect, especially when dealing with senior employees who have tenure with the company. Favoritism and double standards are common. You just can't trust anyone, don't give out any personal information. Slurs cycle around pretty quickly. 3. Different teams and department go against each other, no cooperation or coordination, never ready for tasks. People do their job wrong and create a mass for others. But they don't care. Don't expect team members to look out for each other, they may stab your back! 4. New ideas and positive changes not welcomed. Many conversations are one-way. You just have to listen and agree (or keep your mouth shut) 5. There's diversity of course but seems no inclusion. 6. Lower than average 401k match, no higher education incentive, cannot accrual PTO, no overtime pay. 7. If you are the favored one, that's good! You'll like this place.

      Decent work experience

      Cons

Swing shift, mandated overtime, working next to hot ovens
