I've had the rare opportunity to work for some of the best employers in the world and feel incredibly lucky to have found and been hired by Duolingo. Senior leadership, high levels of collaboration across functions, innovative, brilliant and KIND people, interesting work, incredible benefits, and great workplace are some of the strengths I would share. There are many more to share but it depends on who you are and what you value.

We need to continue to work to improve the diversity of our organization. Some people don't like being in office but I see the value and think it is one of our super powers and we are well cared for while we are in the office.

some teams can be pretty hectic. shipping faster is rewarded which creates the incentive to work longer hours especially if the rest of your team is doing so. promo/raise cycle recently reduced to 1x a year

Nice people, lovely benefits, good pay. Lovely place to work.

During projects things were always "spotty." They were never absoluetely sure what they were doing. And sometimes the lack of organization or clear plan was very annoying. I think it was a way for people to pretend like they were busier or more important thatn they actually were.

Middle management quality can be hit or miss, lots of time on Zoom since teams are fragmented
