What are perks and other benefits like at Edgewell Personal Care?

Edgewell has some very good products/name brands. CEO is doing very well trying to navigate severe global headwinds and the company overall does well to support employees. Pay is average, benefits are average, 401k is good, some other smaller perks such as a "points/reward" system.

For the most part, managers are good and support employees however you do find a few that take employee workmanship at face value, and don't truly look behind the scenes at what individuals actually do.

Challenges with hybrid working in parts of the organization

The job isn't hard if you focus and take initiative to learn. Some members of lower management and floor workers were easy to work with. Very willing to answer questions and explain things. They were very supportive during the training process. I didn't have prior experience in this industry. And I made mistakes and ignored instincts that mightve saved my job in the long run. Pay and benefits are pretty good. Pay could be better but not bad.

Definitely an environment where you need to cover your butt in every way you can. There are employees on the floor and in management that have caused problems and the company is aware. But they continue to allow those people to stay. I was put with a trainer that didn't not want to train new hires and had made that clear. But wasn't given a choice. And is also bitter about the treatment of workers I'm the company. And has a right to be. The company won't keep up with regular maintenance on its machines the way they should. They refuse to replace parts unless there is no other choice. Otherwise techs and mechanics will be reprimanded for costing the company unnecessary money. There are workers that get away with substance abuse unless the company isn't able to turn a blind eye. There's a lot of encouragement in being a team but everyone is pretty much only looking out for themselves and will throw anyone else under the bus if it gets focus taken off of them. It's work, it pays the bills, but don't be overly friendly. You will be seen as suspicious and it could get you drawn into drama. There is a good ol boys club mentality there.

The work environment and relationships with others is phenomenal. You can tell that the employees WANT to make Edgewell better. Great benefits and PTO is awesome. Work life balance is probably the best I've ever experienced in the CPG world.

Slow to innovate. Lots of delays on communicating NPD and company decisions out. The management team seems "stuck" in making the correct decision, versus taking risks and rebounding if incorrect.

Perks include a good car lease scheme, free products and lots of extra clubs to get involved with e.g. DEI, Wellness, Social, etc.

Very poor leadership, with no change for a long time. Culture of blaming each other for failures, very poor budgets which don't let you compete with competitors, and a very backwards culture that isn't open to trying new things or changing. Lots of indirect discrimination takes place and HR may as well not exist as they turn a blind eye even when it happens in the very room they are sitting in. Sadly, its not uncommon to be berated and made an example of in meetings.

The company itself is great. Great benefits, pay transparency, for the most part kind people.

Shortly after joining Edgewell I realized my manager was terrible - and that this was a known problem throughout the company. When I put in my two weeks notice shortly after joining, I was told that the person they had hired before me had quit after just two weeks, and that HR is aware of this person being a poor leader. It's wrong to hire people into roles where they are bound to be miserable/not succeed because of a known management problem - innocent people are giving up good jobs to work at Edgewell, and prefer unemployment in this economy over sticking around. Keeping bad leaders around hurts people - this is just one example of how.
