      Pros

      - Great Growth Opportunities: I absolutely love working at Equinor because it has given me so many chances to grow. The company offers a variety of courses and hands-on learning experiences that have really helped me develop my skills. - Supportive Colleagues: The people here are amazing! My colleagues and team are always ready to help, no matter how small my questions are. I’ve never felt unsupported since I joined, which makes a huge difference. - Graduate Program Rotation: The graduate program is fantastic. I have the chance to rotate to different departments, which not only broadens my experience but also keeps things interesting. It also broadens my multidisciplinary knowledge which is very essential in working with teams. - Good Compensation and Benefits: Equinor offers competitive pay and great benefits, which is definitely a plus. - Positive Company Culture: The culture here is something I really appreciate. Equinor's values are reflected in everyone’s behavior. People here are caring, collaborative, creative, and very open-minded. - Diversity and Inclusion: I love how diverse the workplace is. There are so many international staff members bringing fresh ideas from all over the world, this definitely enriches our work environment. - Supportive Management: Management is genuinely nice and always willing to support my growth. It feels great to know that they care about my development and wellbeing. - Work-Life Balance: One of the best parts about working here is the work-life balance. I don’t feel like my life revolves around work, which has allowed me to maintain a healthy personal life and good mental health which i believe should always be prioritized.

      Cons

Honestly, I can't think of any significant downsides right now. My experience has been really positive.

      Great Company

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Great benefits, flexible work arrangements, many learning opportunities

      Cons

It's difficult to start because colleagues use a lot of technical jargon (often specific to Equinor) that makes it difficult to start as a new hire due to this knowledge barrier

Stay away if you're in software or data

      Principal engineer
      Former employee

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Diversity of people in terms of countries of origin and age groups

      Cons

Definitely do not recommend, especially if you want to learn, grow or develop your career in software and data. Equinor doesn't have internal expertise in those areas, it just outsources everything to consultants who do what they want how they want it. Most of them are inexperienced, sloppy, don't know or follow best practices, and on top of that are arrogant and blatantly disrespect employees. The managers and "leaders" know about it and don't do anything. In fact, they don't really know what to do, because they usually don't have experience in software either. As an employee, you are left in a position where your work is blocked by consultants, and there's not a lot of good people to learn from. Team spirit is inexistent, management scrambles with poor decisions, there's no encouragement to good ideas or innovation, and your mental health suffers. Foy years, Equinor has benefited from the fact that it had so much money to spend that it was ok to be inefficient. This just created bad habits. Now there is cost cutting, and the company does not know how to handle it. Recently, they keep repeating the Norwegian shelf is mature, the returns are diminishing and costs are growing. A program was launched publicly to try to at least keep production at the same level until 2035, but not sure if they can achieve even that with the gaps in competence and efficiency. And what hapens after 2035? Future-wise, this is just a bad bet. Besides that, compared to any tech company, the pay and benefits are pretty bad, and the culture is dinosauric. If you have any data or software skills, you are much better pretty much anywhere else in Norway, both financially and in terms of your learning and mental health. If you're young, that advice is doubled - don't waste your career capital!

      Pros

      Pros

Equinor is one of the best companies to work with. It offers a great work-life balance with a lot of benefits. The work environment is great, people are always helpful and prone to help you with everything you need. It's a healthy, collaborative and caring work environment. The workload is also good and most people tend to not feel overwhelmed, since it tends to be well distributed (for most). Salary is also good and competitive in Norway, although is a bit lower than what other countries (such as the U.S.) usually offer. But one of the best things about the company is the social activities and celebrations: lots of great dinners and cake to celebrate every possible milestone.

      Cons

Starting in the company can be a bit challenging, especially if you don't have a lot of experience in the oil industry. You are overloaded with information at first and it takes a long time to understand how the company functions and how the work is structured. The amount of acronyms for every possible thing is unacessary and makes things even more difficult for those starting. Handovers are also not a very strong suit and it can be hard to understand what has been done in the past. Some leaders also fail to explain the task properly and what needs to be done.

      Cons
