What is the salary like at Food Lion?

Friendly atmosphere with management that is easy to talk to

I noticed that it's pretty hard to get a raise and the pay is already low as is

My manager in the baking deli department was absolutely horrendous. She yelled at everyone without giving a solution to the problems. If higher up put security cameras in the department they would be horrified to see what was going on.

Hardly any CRAPPPPPY raises,Store MANAGERS,EXPECT TONMUCH OUT OF 1 PERSON NO MATTER THE PAY, DONT WORK GOOD AT FILLING SPOTS OF PPL WHEN THERE OFF FOR DAY SO THEY DONT HAVE TO COME BACK TO A DISATER, LAZY PPL , WRITING PPL UP ON DAYS OFF FOR SUMTHING THEY COULDNT HAVE DONE

This Food lion in particular always had issues and hasn't not improved even years after I left. The management is very unprofessional and there have been many times where I have seen the store manager in conflicts with other managers. People leave as quickly as they are hired, the pay is very poor and there is no room for growth. They are always short staffed and there is a lot of favoritism here. I really would only recommend to a high school student that needs a part time job because you will learn basic skills here but other than that, try a different location or a different company as a whole.
