I would not recommend working at Fresenius Kabi at the Melrose Park location to anyone who values professional growth, a healthy work environment, or fair treatment. The workplace culture is deeply toxic, largely due to leadership prioritizing favoritism over merit. Hardworking employees are overlooked, while select individuals receive preferential treatment regardless of performance. The management, particularly HR, shows little to no interest in employee development. There is no real mentorship, constructive feedback, or growth opportunities—just unrealistic expectations with minimal support. Instead of fostering a collaborative and motivating work environment, leadership thrives on micromanagement, poor communication, and dismissiveness toward employee concerns. Morale is consistently low, and turnover is high for a reason. If you’re looking for a place where your efforts are appreciated, where fairness is valued, and where you have a future—this is NOT the place for you.

While this company may offer some benefits such as decent pay and occasional team events, they are overshadowed by the overwhelmingly negative aspects of working here. The pay may seem decent at first glance, but it’s hardly worth enduring the toxic work environment and psychological abuse from management. The occasional team events are a superficial attempt to mask the pervasive bullying and favoritism that plague this company. Additionally, the flexible working hours are little consolation when faced with long commutes and the constant fear of retribution for speaking out against injustices. Any perceived pros quickly pale in comparison to the deeply ingrained issues that make this company a toxic and unsuitable workplace.

Working for this company has been an absolute nightmare. I endured over a year of relentless bullying, with management fostering a toxic and intimidating environment. Not only are the sick pay and annual leave policies disgracefully inadequate, but the constant threats and lack of support made every day a struggle. The favouritism towards certain employees and blatant disregard for others’ wellbeing is appalling. Add to that the long commuting hours and complete disregard for my mental health, and it’s clear this company engages in psychological abuse. What’s worse, when I tried to escalate the issue to management, they defended each other and were blatantly biased, completely disregarding my complaints and even defending the bullies. I strongly advise anyone considering employment here to steer clear and prioritise their wellbeing elsewhere.

Depending to whom you work for, you can have nice work environments, but this is rare. Benefits can be good compared to other companies, however not amazing.

Dishonest top management, toxic culture, lack of consideration for employees wellbeing. Highly inefficient and old-fashioned processes. Excessive focus on money savings at all costs. Employees are nothing more than just numbers. Aggressive and indeed disrespectful behaviours by some top management, poor employee treatment. Very high employee turnover and sickness leave . Lack of transparency from leadership. The company has a vision but is setting the business for failure. Career dead-end, without room for growth or development . Difficulty in retaining talents. with many of the good talents leaving. Overall the company leadership style is to lead by fear, not by example. Too bad because there are many incredible and very competent people in the company.
