      Pros

      - Really intelligent people - Great Product - Good benefits and pay

      Cons

      - New leadership seems more focus on throwing out changes that they are mandating the team to do than actually enabling them for success - Feedback and concerns fall on deaf ears, no one seems interested in what the field is going through - Asks and objectives change every other week, are always extremely urgent, and truly provide no value and there is little to no enablement for the CS team on accomplishing these asks - At the end of the day, we're providing worse service to our existing customers so that time, energy, and resources can all be spent on net new customers

Thank you for your #NoSugar feedback. We're glad you value our intelligent team, great product, and competitive pay and benefits. However, reading your concerns about the new leadership's approach to change management, lack of enablement for the CS team, and deprioritization of existing customers was difficult. Creating Raving fans internally and externally has always been a top priority for Gong, and I'm sorry if that hasn't been your experience. We are committed to continuous improvement as we evolve and value your input, if you'd like to discuss further, please reach out directly. - Suni Lobo

      Pros

Working at Gong as a software developer has been an incredibly rewarding experience. The company operates at the cutting edge of technology, with a strong focus on AI and machine learning, especially in the realm of revenue intelligence. It's exciting to work on products that have a tangible impact on businesses, and the fast-growing industry offers plenty of opportunities for personal and professional growth. Also, the company culture is one of the best I’ve experienced—collaborative, supportive, and employee-focused. Gong values work-life balance, and it shows through flexible work policies and competitive benefits. The leadership team fosters an environment where developers can thrive, learn, and contribute meaningfully. Plus, the exposure to modern tech stacks and the intersection of software development with revenue operations has been a great way to enhance my skills.

      Cons

Honestly, I haven't encountered any significant downsides. Gong offers a great culture, cutting-edge work, and excellent growth opportunities. It's been a positive experience all around.

I'm glad you appreciate our benefits and work/life balance, but it's disappointing to hear your sentiment on the lack of timely feedback and our decision-making processes. The Gong product is incredible. You will learn a lot and become a great seller. Benefits are good. Lots of cool people to work with.

      Cons

Extreme micromanagement. Heard leadership is quitting left and right ever since new CRO came on board, and culture has gone down hill. Management is very KPI focussed.

Excellent Company with Great Culture and Growth Opportunities

      Pros

Innovative Product: Gong’s platform is a game-changer in revenue intelligence, making it a leader in its field. Collaborative Environment: The culture promotes teamwork and knowledge-sharing, making it easy to grow and learn from colleagues. Great Leadership: Management genuinely cares about employee growth, frequently offering career development opportunities and support. Work-Life Balance: There’s a strong emphasis on work-life balance, with flexibility around remote work and personal time off. Competitive Compensation: Salaries and benefits are above industry average, with great perks and incentives. Strong Values: The company’s commitment to transparency, diversity, and inclusion is evident in every aspect of the business.

      Cons

Fast-Paced Growth: While the rapid growth is exciting, it can sometimes lead to challenges in keeping up with processes and changes. Cross-team Communication: In a large organization, communication across departments can be tricky at times, requiring extra effort to stay aligned. Workload Peaks: During peak periods, workloads can be heavy, and burnout may become a concern if not managed properly.

Great product- but no true UX Writing. Content Writers are considered "Support Staff," not core contributors.

      Pros

Gong is a great company building an awesome product. This review is specific to the Senior Product Content Writer role. The Product Writing team is divided into UX Writing and Technical Writing. In practice, however, the UX writing approach mostly consists of applying Technical Writing rules to the UI. UX knowledge is neither required nor encouraged (which is ironic for a “UX” writer), and is considered outside the domain of the role. There is also a deliberate and wide separation between Product Designers and Product Writers, with UX writers clearly directed to avoid involvement in UX work or design decisions. At the same time, an internally built AI-based writing tool has recently been handed over to designers for generating product content themselves. This creates a notable asymmetry: Writers are instructed not to engage with design, while Designers are empowered to write content themselves. In an environment where Product writers are already positioned as “support staff” who “shouldn’t get in the way” (these are verbatim phrases), this shift further reinforces the perception of Product writing as a non-core function, and raises questions about the long-term need for the role itself within the company. This can be a reasonable role for a Technical writer who would like to dabble in the UI, and is happy to chug along for a decent paycheck and kind company benefits. As long as they’re comfortable quietly following their manager’s rules without question, and in an environment where work or decisions are often made for them without prior discussion or notification. However, for those looking for career growth within the team, managerial transparency and dialogue, or the opportunity to develop UX skills as they relate to content/product writing, they might want to look elsewhere.

      Pros

Excellent product, best in class, by far. With the widespread adoption of AI though, revenue intelligence might become comoditized soon Great benefits - lunch, recharge days, company events Fast-track opportunities for BDRs aiming to move into AE roles. Some genuinely talented colleagues.

      Cons

Pay is below industry standards. I personally took a significant pay cut (-€40k/year) to join. Mandatory 3 days/week in-office, with additional days required at EOM/EOQ. Key decisions are made in the US, often leaving EMEA without proper alignment or support. For example, US books of business generate 40% more revenue, yet targets and book sizes are the same. High-pressure environment with gaslighting normalized, especially in sales. Reps are blamed for systemic issues, despite many being top performers in previous roles. Constant organizational changes—roles, segmentation, and targets shift yearly, creating instability and frustration. Favoritism and corporate politics are prevalent.
