      Business Outlook

      Pros

KBR (Kellogg, Brown & Root) is one of the best places to work for several reasons. 1. Global Reputation and Opportunities KBR is a leading global company with operations in diverse sectors like engineering, procurement, construction, and energy services. Employees have the opportunity to work on high-impact, large-scale projects worldwide. 2. Commitment to Employee Development KBR invests heavily in training and career development. 3. Inclusive Workplace Culture The company promotes diversity and inclusivity, ensuring employees feel valued regardless of their background. It actively works on fostering a collaborative and respectful work environment. 4. Focus on Innovation KBR encourages innovation and adapts to the latest technologies and processes. Employees get to work with cutting-edge tools, contributing to exciting and challenging projects. 5. Competitive Benefits Employees enjoy competitive compensation, comprehensive health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks such as paid time off and bonuses. 6. Corporate Social Responsibility KBR is known for its commitment to sustainability and giving back to the community. Employees take pride in working for a company that prioritizes ethical practices and environmental stewardship.

      Cons

      1. Demanding Work Environment High Pressure: The nature of KBR’s projects—large-scale, high-stakes, and often on tight deadlines—can result in a high-pressure environment. Long Hours: Depending on the role, especially in project management or on-site positions, employees may need to work extended hours to meet client demands. 2. Frequent Travel Global Projects: While global opportunities can be exciting, they often require frequent travel, which can disrupt work-life balance, especially for employees with families. Remote Locations: Many projects are based in remote or challenging environments, such as offshore rigs or developing regions. 3. Work-Life Balance Challenges Demanding Schedules: For roles on construction or engineering sites, maintaining a healthy work-life balance can be tough due to long hours and remote work conditions. Pressure for Deliverables: Meeting client deadlines may occasionally require sacrificing personal time.

      Business Outlook

      Pros

KBR is a very employee centric organization with opportunities galore! The benefits are great and love the flex time! The robust Internal Mobility department is proof of KBR's commitment to keeping their employees. Plus, all sorts of training opportunities and if you want to get more involved, there are so many ways to contribute.

      Cons

As a remote employee I feel like some of the more exciting projects go to people local to where management sits and that can get frustrating. Often when a new position opens that would be a step up for people, the internal candidate is already identified. It's been near impossible to work up & grow my career. Lastly, please get rid of Express Scripts!
