What is the hiring process like at LongHorn Steakhouse?

It was pretty easy to get the position, they just asked questions regarding my previous job, and why I think I would be a good fit for the position.

I had to wait for at least 10 minutes after my scheduled interview time.

Nice people, decent pay for the effort involved

Bad management who always either over scheduled or under scheduled and refused to hire new people when needed

Very flexible with my college schedule, which made it easy to balance work and classes. The work environment was professional and organized, and management was generally supportive. It’s a great place to gain customer service experience and work with a friendly team. Some managers were easier to work with then others.

Unfortunately, there’s little room for growth. Even after working there for a while, I noticed they tended to hire new servers and managers from outside instead of promoting from within. If you’re looking for long-term career development, this may not be the best place.

On the interview the manager told me that the crew was like family and I rolled my eyes. However, it was so true!! The Managers (I was at the Wooster, OH location) were AMAZING. The crew was equally as kind and amazing. One of the best experiences I had working in a restaurant and I've worked in a lot of them.

Was often understaffed in the dish room. I think this was mostly because finding people to hire and fill the shifts was the issue. I had fun anyway.
