How is management perceived at LongHorn Steakhouse?

The managers are all very understanding and helpful, the company is also very generous and giving with their staff, they do alot to ensure their. staff is taken care of

They hire alot of young workers who are not there to work to their full potential, they also depend on the workers who work hard to pick up the slack of others. there aren't any repercussions for those who constantly call off and never show up on time.

Benefits and Vacation system were outstanding you don't many systems like it in our business. When you have a good management team and a good structure things work like clockwork and its fun no place Id rather be.

Lack of communication from Upper Management. Inconsistent feedback If the management team wasn't good or being led correctly with no type of structure the place could be chaotic and made it hard to manage I was told one week that I was doing great The next week I was gone barely an explanation Work Life Balance is not the best and I was one of the lucky ones with long experience in the company so I had earned a large amount of vacation time others weren't so lucky. Direct confrontation was usually avoided which is understandable in a corporate structure but when it comes to job security there has to be some transparency. Toxicity was allowed to run rampant at times without being checked until someone and usually it was the wrong person took the blame

The managers are amazing and they are workable with anyone's schedule

Money can be back some days but good others.

Shifts can be longer than scheduled if people don’t show up for their shift. Some holidays require all hands on deck (Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Veteran’s Day, etc)

Very flexible with my college schedule, which made it easy to balance work and classes. The work environment was professional and organized, and management was generally supportive. It’s a great place to gain customer service experience and work with a friendly team. Some managers were easier to work with then others.

Unfortunately, there’s little room for growth. Even after working there for a while, I noticed they tended to hire new servers and managers from outside instead of promoting from within. If you’re looking for long-term career development, this may not be the best place.

I make decent money since we are known as a "nicer" steakhouse.

The owner and general manager do not care about their employees' well-being. Some of the management is good, but most of them are shady and sleeping with employees.

Flexible with availability, management is friendly for the most part

Stingy customers, 2 dollar/hr wage, and tip share contribute to low pay

Love working here, the hours are good, the managers seem to care about employees taking care of guests and making money.

Very corporate, but for me that’s a plus. I like the structure and the benefits that come with working for a corporate restaurant.
