What are perks and other benefits like at Luxottica?

The pay is satisfactory, the benefits are excellent, the workplace is clean, and the amenities are great---cafeteria, gym, walking trails, etc...

Upper Management is out of touch and disconnected from employees. The company was previously about heart and soul and helping people to see and it is the employees who made this company the success that it is today. When Italy took over, they got rid of skilled people by the masses and it was all about the greed and money only. The heart and soul was cut out for profit, which highly affected the product availability and quality of service of helping people see.

retail -- potential lack of staff due to hours being cut if goal for the week not made.

Luxottica in Italy has a very good reputation, but what about abroad? I personally experienced: lack of transparency, lack of communication, lack of professionalism, managers who did what they wanted (no working hours, off when it was convenient), hiring of friends who then were not minimally competent, employees left alone to handle all kinds of situations. Broken promises: when they hire you they tell you that there is opportunity for growth, but in fact they only grow those who are good at following orders from above and with little critical thinking. If you have character, brains and opinions of your own, you won't go anywhere. They don't know the rules of the places where they open stores, the laws. They weigh you down when you take vacations, as if they are doing you a favor (while vacations are a right). They write you when they need you then disappear when you need them. Many of my colleagues have had problems with salary payments. I recommend a union if you work for them. No pension, no benefits. Extremely disappointing experience.

The company is getting richer and their benefits are getting crappier and crappier for the employees.

Management is scatter brained, your breaks fluctuate based on the needs of the business, oh & they will fire you once you return from FMLA for attendance. Save your sanity and find an alternative employer who truly cares about their employees.

Love this company, they listen to you. Have quarterly check ups. give trainings every month.line. Pretty good benefits and pay.
