Pros
Promises of utilizing OEM parts on fleets.
Cons
Corporate mindset that boils down to semantic satiations.
Health and safety program that boils down to watching outdated DVDs and signing a clipboard.
Driver camera system that is utilized more as a crutch for inadequate training and a way to reduce insurance, incentivizing better driving with threats of termination utilizing their points system that never takes context from the driver for recorded incidents.
Manpower in fleet maintenance is a joke, it’s a Catch-22 of performing with less and yet when requesting for more manpower (to spread the workload and reduce shortages for when even just one employee goes on vacation) you are brushed off with “you’re doing just fine” and their logic follows “technicians per bus” logic over “service miles to Technitian”
Has multiple credit holds on all of their national accounts for their suppliers and vendors and utilize third party payment methods to circumnavigate those credit holds.
HR that protects their own rather than their contractor workforce.
Will promise OEM service until some “budget” kicks in and suddenly parts purchases are pushed to the end of the month to allow skimming off the top back to corporate.
Don’t let your shop stewards (if union) curry favor with the management above supervisor level.
Toxic workplace environment, also a constantly revolving door of general managers, backstabbing corporate culture, age discrimination is prevalent.
The founders are unknowable (as people), the CEO is unknown, you don’t know who they are and most likely will never know how their company is truly running.
It’s sad that a company that was founded in California now lives in Texas, with most likely to enjoy corporate benefits rather than hold true their roots and stay in California.
