What are perks and other benefits like at McMaster University?

Good coworkers Excellent educational opportunities Work/life balance is well supported While (union) pay is less competitive than the private sector the university is stable employment with good benefits and little negative impact on time outside of normal working hours.

IT advancement opportunities focus on "cultural fit" and are very clique oriented. Those from outside of the UTS bubble are often patronized and made to feel inferior, unskilled and unwelcome. IT positions outside of UTS are few and far between.

Parking is extremely expensive The HR system is complicated, when you require any out of book support, they won't help you. ex. job titles, immigration documents, etc 100% you will meet some toxic people if you work in Communications.
