      Pros

Merck is a great company, great benefits , competitive pay, and good culture in some areas of the company.

      Cons

Company is declining under new CEO. It’s not what it was before. Morale has declined, alot of cuts have been made.

      Pros

Work from home is the only pro

      Cons

The only thing good is the work from home and benefits. These people will work you and not care about you as a person. They try to be nice at first but do not have your best interest.they lack integrity and accountability. They like to play the blame game and do not take accountability for there actions. Horrible company to work for.

      Cons

Too much red tape across departments

Unsustainable workload and poor support in the Microbiology Department

      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Some of the coworkers were talented, hardworking, and genuinely cared about the science. The benefits package was good, and the company provides opportunities to learn new lab technologies.

      Cons

The Microbiology Department was chronically understaffed, leading to extremely long workdays and constant pressure to meet unrealistic demands. Employees often worked through breaks just to keep up. Leadership focused heavily on output but provided very little support for employee well-being. The fast-paced and high-pressure environment made it difficult to maintain quality and balance. High turnover reflected how unsustainable the culture had become

      Great Culture, Moderately good pay

      Vaccine manufacturing intern
      Current intern
      West Point, PA
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

West Point will give you the most learning about the product side of the business. The people are kind and you truly will go a full summer learning a great deal.

      Cons

I would say in operations, you have less tangible goals than technical operations interns. However, you will actually learn a lot more applicable material to the business than you will in tech ops, who get a very sugar coated version of the day-to-day of a Merck employee. The pay is slightly less competitive than other companies hiring engineers but you get a lot of benefits in the long term.

Lots of overtime and great benefits

      Business Outlook

      Pros

work life balance is good here, good benefits

      Cons

maybe not the best for mobility

Good for people who only loves to work

      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

I think the salary is high compare to other companies

      Cons

No worklife balance, Cash benefits were too small, no standardized procedure which makes it harder to learn the process. Too strict with the implementation of RTO and lastly, the schedule of each process is not fix which is one of the reason why an FTE has to work overtime to wait to finish the other processes before he/she get started.
