      Pros

If you are on the right team you can have fantastic leadership, guidance and mentorship. As a whole the company offers great benefits, flexible time off, and has a solid parental leave program for the US.

      Cons

There is limited opportunity to grow and advance your career. Career pathing options were almost never discussed, but the "opportunities" were often dangled in front of you to give you hope of trying to develop your career in a more strategic way. C and E level leadership are often out of touch and lack understanding of what is actually happening within their teams. Frequent pulse check surveys are sent out with little follow up and insight into how leadership is going to address team issues. Some clouds feel much safer to work in than others - which limits employee options to move to other initiatives.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. We are proud of the benefits we provide to our people. Our Benefits team is on a mission to continue enhancing our employee benefits packages to make them globally inclusive. Most recently, they introduced 14 weeks of parental leave for all parents and Modern Health globally. We also continue to invest in our offices for employees to have a positive in-office experience; this includes having great work and break spaces, amenities, and food/snacks. Our Workplace team is working hard this year to continue enhancing these spaces and open new ones that reflect our positive growth! There are a ton of learning opportunities at OneTrust as well. We believe career progression and advancement can happen in a number of ways - through new assignments or rotational opportunities, learning new skills, exposure to new customers or problems to solve, and promotions. When you’re defining and operating in a dynamic market there are no shortage of those opportunities. This year, many of our team members were also promoted or moved laterally into new roles within the company. We will continue to promote these opportunities and other career development offerings throughout the year and into the future. As you said, we do have frequent employee engagement/pulse surveys. These are completely anonymous and allow our senior leadership team to learn what is and isn't working. As mentioned on the internal Q1 Culture & Coffee session with our Chief People Officer, the Executive Leadership Team has looked through feedback from the most recent survey, and we look forward to the action items from all the perspectives submitted by employees.

Thanks for sharing your feedback with us. We're pleased to hear you enjoy working at OneTrust. Our teams have done a lot of work to improve our benefits over time, and we continue to make enhancements to the employee experience as we mature as a company. One of those recent enhancements has been to our OneTrust Foundations onboarding program, formerly Bootcamp, for new hires. We continue to get feedback from employees since its revamp last year, and our L&D team will make proper changes based on constructive feedback they receive. Overall, this switch has been extremely positive for our people, and we look forward to additional projects and initiatives in the future that will move the needle for our people and the company.

      Pros

The pros are pay, benefits and the good caring people that work there.

      Cons

The company is strategically directionless and can't get out of its own way to be successful. You can expect annual layoffs as the direction changes. Most of their large customers are unhappy with the product but don't have a good alternative.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective and for recognizing the compensation, benefits, and dedicated people who make up OneTrust. We acknowledge that periods of change can feel frustrating at times, particularly in a fast‑evolving market. Over the past few years, OneTrust has continued to mature as a company, including recent changes to our senior leadership. We recently welcomed John Heyman as CEO. He and our leaders are focused on bringing greater clarity and consistency as we continue to scale, and they're committed to listening to employee feedback and strengthening how we operate. Like many companies, we regularly evaluate our organizational needs to best serve our customers and to position the company for long-term success. We acknowledge the contributions of those that have been part of the OneTrust team and wish them the very best in their future endeavors. We appreciate your candid feedback.

      Pros

Good benefits, unlimited PTO, great coworkers, and I got a decent laptop with no issues.

      Cons

I was hired as a remote employee, they were a remote first company and told me I could stay remote. Then a little while later they laid off 25% of their workforce. Now they have started telling people they have to come into the office twice per week if they live within 40 miles. Also, they are choosing to do this while simultaneously moving their Atlanta office almost 20 miles away from where it is now. It’s a logistical mess. They will tell you one thing now and switch it up in a few months later, so I would not be surprised if within a year they will require everyone to come in to the office every day. Just be prepared for them to switch things like this up on you, no matter what bill of goods they try to sell you when you’re getting hired.

Thank you for taking the time to share your OneTrust experience. It's great to see you enjoyed your benefits package, flexibility, and technology. We couldn't agree more about your coworkers; OneTrust employees are smart, driven, and fun to collaborate with. OT is proud of its people and the relationships they build with each other. OneTrust leaders also value employees and their feedback. A big piece of feedback they've been hearing is that employees want more opportunities to collaborate and celebrate wins together. Our Working@ OneTrust initiative is our way of formalizing where we hire, how we work together, and where we work as part of our hybrid model. The underlying "Why" is that we are intentional about the culture that we want to create together. This includes bringing teams together in-person, throughout the year, to collaborate, build connections, learn from each other, and celebrate our wins to Finish Stronger. We are a young company, but we are growing. As we prepare to hire and grow more this year, we need clarity on the types of roles and skill sets we need and where those roles need to be located to best serve our customers. Like many companies, OneTrust is navigating what it means to operate in a post-pandemic world. Ultimately, we want to be intentional about accelerating the culture we want to build, focused on a customer-first approach. We are aligned and believe the best way to do that is to bring teams together in times that matter – to Connect, Be Curious, and Collaborate.

      Pros

I've been with OneTrust for over 8 years, and it's genuinely the best professional environment I've experienced. The company strikes an exceptional balance between cutting-edge technology and sustainable work-life balance. We work with modern tech stacks (cloud-native architecture, microservices, AI/ML for privacy automation) that keep your skills relevant in the industry. The culture here is collaborative rather than competitive. My colleagues are not just technically skilled but also willing to mentor and share knowledge. The leadership team is transparent about company direction and actually listens to feedback from all levels. What truly sets OneTrust apart is the growth trajectory. I've had multiple opportunities to lead projects and explore new technologies. The company invests heavily in professional development with regular training sessions, conference attendance, and certification support. The flexible work arrangements (hybrid model) and respect for personal time make it possible to maintain a healthy life outside work. The benefits package is comprehensive, and the company events foster genuine camaraderie among teams.

      Cons

The rapid growth means some processes are still evolving, which can occasionally lead to communication gaps between departments. As we scale, there's sometimes a learning curve with new tools and systems being implemented. Additionally, the ambitious product roadmap means priorities can shift quickly, requiring adaptability from team members. While the company is working on it, some legacy code areas could benefit from more comprehensive documentation.

Thank you for sharing your Implementation Consultant experience. It's great to see you're enjoying the benefits, flexibility, and people. We're happy you see the value in our product as well especially as a Customer Experience team member. We've made positive strides toward becoming a generational company because of our successful products. We're true market leaders in a space that matters. It's disappointing to see that you had a negative experience with OneTrust's performance management process. We believe career progression and advancement can happen in a number of ways - through new assignments or rotational opportunities, learning new skills, exposure to new customers or problems to solve, and promotions. When you’re defining and operating in a dynamic market there are no shortage of those opportunities. We became a market leader by challenging ourselves, learning every day, and never being satisfied. In the past few performance review cycles, many of our team members were also promoted or moved laterally into new roles within the company. We will continue to promote these opportunities and other career development offerings in the future.

      Pros

Great benefits and some very talented and professional people across the board from management to sales to tech. Pretty solid partner network and program

      Cons

Newer leadership all the way to the top continue to struggle to make change and progress the company. Very tactical behavior Extensive turnover across all levels and areas including the partner/alliances team. Longer sales cycles that ave around 180 days and difficult internal processes. Most deals are caught up in legal as legal ultimately runs the company. Quite chaotic in general and some very toxic behavior across the ranks that seem to simply be ignored and in some cases driven/accepted by mgmt. The vast majority of AEs don’t come close to their number and lots of inspection at the AE level. It will be hard to make any money at OneTrust. Competition heating up across the solution areas and it will be difficult to grow just privacy . Some real product issues and selling on future functionality. Support for partners fair at best. Love/hate relationship between partners and internal PS Org. (They compete)
