What are perks and other benefits like at Primrose Schools?

Teacher appreciation week and other free food perks. All of which is donated from the parents.

Asked to teach younger and younger kids than would be expected in the room.

Loved working the kids and most families, offer fun activities for kids

Very little support from management. Poor pay and basic benefits, nothing great. Management MICROMANAGES

If you are really wanting to work in Early Childcare Education, this is a great place to start. There is a set curriculum that gets followed and overall, the teachers work as a team.

Unfortunately, the recent shift in management has created a lot of problems with staff. Also, there is no minimum salary and no benefits for full time employees.

The biggest pro of this job is the kids and the families you get to know and love!

The biggest con is the pay and there are no benefits. Minimal PTO.

The kids, parents, and the supplies needed for lesson plans were provided by Primrose.

The owner was not experienced with owning a childcare facility and it showed. No benefits, high expectations for cleanliness of toys, staying on Primrose Curriculum (which was AWFUL - never allowed any time to BOND WITH THE KIDS). Not a fan of the "Primrose" way -- when I've worked at other high-end centers with much better teacher led curriculum. Also, you couldn't do anything to your classroom by way of decorations/moving stations - which is part of the fun of having a classroom!

Admin at my location was corrupt, which corporate allowed. They do not care about the children; their priority is cash flow. The benefits offered are too expensive for anyone to afford. They expect you to do work outside the job description and beyond your pay.

Wonderful kids. teachers are wonderful with the kids and really great at their jobs when they are allowed to teach properly.

The franchisee was an absolute terror to work for. She would sit and monitor cameras from her vehicle across the street for hours and interrupt classrooms to correct your teaching. There were very concerning behaviors around pay and how/when pay was distributed. Leadership will treat you like cattle. If you need assistance, you will seldom receive it. No beneficial benefits - it's Aflac, which is expensive and not comprehensive.
